The picture doesn’t truly justify the beauty of this spider....by far one of my favourite to look at is the Gooty Sapphire Ornamental Spider (Poecilotheria metallica) also known Metallic Blue Ornamental Tree Spider. This arboreal spider (now captive bred) is native to Southern India and was originally discovered in the small town of Gooty India. These spiders are fairly fast and do have a venomous bite that is much more serious that normal tarantula bite, medical attention is recommended if bitten. So bottom line is.....not really for beginners or handling but a rare spectacular spider that is very easy to keep and super hardy. <“(((((>< ~~~
