By far one of the most stunning Pleco’s, the Zebra Pleco L046 is also one of the most sought after Pleco’s on the market.  These fish originate from the Xingu River in Brazil and at one point were exported by the thousands until the Brazilian Government banned all exports. This then forced a trend for many breeding projects from hobbiest to farm level. Unfortunately these fish only have anywhere from 5 to 10 fry at one time therefor the demand far out way’s the supply at this time, hence the hefty price tag.
